A stray kitten named Bramble approached Royal Navy engineer Billy Kelland during a cliff-top walk in Cornwall and was treated for cat flu at Cats Protection's Cornwall Cat Centre. She has since been adopted by Billy's mother, Katie Spencer, and is thriving in her new family home.

Three kittens were rescued at four weeks old after being found behind bins in Newtownards, where their mother had been fatally hit by a car. Cats Protection Northern Ireland nursed the trio, and all three have now settled into loving new homes.
An elderly stray cat named Phillip had both ears amputated after Cats Protection's Kent Cat Centre found sun damage had left pre-cancerous cells on his curled, crispy ears. The charity is now urging owners of pale-eared cats to take sun-safety precautions.

Cats Protection has launched its National Cat Awards, inviting UK owners to nominate cats in one of four categories, plus a separate Vet of the Year award. Nominations run from 15 January to 28 February, with winners chosen by public vote ahead of a September ceremony in London.
