Cats Protection Cornwall receptionist Jasmine Nevitte rescued two five-week-old kittens, Bill and Barb, after they became trapped behind boiling water pipes in a Truro shed. Barb escaped unharmed, but Bill suffered burns and both are now recovering well.
Blue Cross in Thirsk is appealing for a home for cats Kovu and Piglet, who have spent almost 150 days in its care, more than five times longer than average. Kovu has a manageable heart murmur, and the bonded pair need a quiet household to settle in.
A young cat named Ivy lost part of a front leg and suffered chemical burns after going missing near Apley Woods, later helped by Cats Protection Telford & District. Now recovered and adapting well on three legs, she is ready for a patient new home.
