Why autumn walks are more than exercise – they’re a festival for your dog’s nose.


There’s something magical about stepping into the woods at this time of year. The air is cool and earthy, leaves crunch underfoot, and the ground releases an intoxicating cocktail of autumn aromas.


For our dogs, these walks are more than just a chance to stretch their legs – Gorgeous Syd, who loves scentwork, owned by Anita. Scentwork is perfect for Syd, who due to having hip dysplasia, has to be a bit careful about physical activities. they’re a sensory adventure.


Dogs experience the world through their noses. While we admire the rich hues of a woodland stroll – copper leaves glowing in dappled sunlight – they’re following invisible stories written in scent: the trail of a fox from the night before, the traces of other dogs, the musty odour of mushrooms pushing through damp soil.
