Ahead of National Gardening Week, feline welfare charity Cats Protection has shared tips to help cat owners make their gardens safer for pets. The charity warned that lilies and daffodils are highly toxic to cats, with lily pollen posing a fatal risk even through brief skin contact.

New research from the University of Liverpool, funded by BSAVA PetSavers, found that dog owners often dismiss serious health changes in older pets as normal ageing. The study surveyed over 600 owners and 300 vets, identifying signs that may indicate underlying health problems.
