A pair of grossly overweight Miniature donkeys with twisted and overgrown hooves are now thriving in the care of international animal welfare charity The Donkey Sanctuary.
Donkeys Penny and Chelsea were discovered at a site in North Devon in June 2020.
When Donkey Welfare Adviser Jenna Goldby first arrived, she could see that both donkeys were in an obese body condition and needed urgent veterinary attention to avert a potentially fatal situation.
